RM of Eye Hill’s story
The Rural Municipality of Eye Hill No. 382 sits in west-central Saskatchewan, right up against the Alberta boundary. It incorporated as a rural municipality on December 12, 1910.
Within its boundaries are the town of Macklin and the village of Denzil, along with the unincorporated community of Primate and the localities of Evesham, Grosswerder and Hillam. Evesham was once a village of its own, until it was dissolved on August 3, 2000.
Rail lines of the CPR have long served the area, including the Outlook to Kerrobert branch through Macklin, Primate and Denzil, and a line that runs through Evesham and Macklin. Today the RM is run by an elected council and an administrator, with its office in Macklin.
